We celebrate diversity amongst our young people and promote individuality in all aspects of care and support we provide. Our ethos of care is one of immediate acceptance and empathy, irrespective of presentation. It is flexible and responsive determined by the unique circumstances of the young person at the time, without detracting from the need for young people to experience a safe warm, nurturing, stable and consistent living environment.

We have high aspirations for all our young people and provide the support to help develop regulatory skills in understanding and managing feelings and emotions and in developing appropriate coping strategies. We also help to develop the skills they need to live independently and in contributing positively to their local community.

We consider the participation of the young people in their home to be of paramount importance as we wish to give young people a sense of ownership and belonging. We place high importance on consultation, advocacy and mentoring support, and ensure that we work sensitively and inclusively with families to maintain and develop these relationships where appropriate. We want their time with us to be a positive experience and we genuinely believe that we can make the difference!
